1. Who we are
Miekpixel B.V. ("Miekpixel"), private limited company (B.V.), based at Wibautstraat 224, 1097 DN Amsterdam, is the controller of personal data collected via miekpixel.digital, by email or phone, or when you visit our recording studio.

2. Scope
This policy covers website visitors, enquirers and clients who book Vocal and spoken-word recording, Band and ensemble recording, Mixing and editing, Mastering and delivery or Voice-over and narration.
When we record on behalf of a business client (for example a production company booking voice talent), that client is controller for those voices. We act as processor under our data processing agreement.
3. Data we process
Contact form: name, email, phone (optional), service selected, preferred date (optional) and your project message. Required fields are needed to handle your request.
Booking and delivery: billing details, artist or band name, project information, scheduling, email and phone correspondence, payment references. A deposit of 35% may apply under our terms.
Recordings: voice, performance and identifiers in file names are personal data when they identify you. We use them only for the agreed work.
Technical: our host keeps server logs (IP address, time, page, browser). Your cookie choice is stored locally; see cookie policy.
We do not ask for special-category data. You do not need to share medical information to reschedule a session.
4. Purposes, legal bases and retention

Your information is never traded to brokers or list vendors. Marketing mailshots are not part of our studio workflow unless you explicitly subscribe elsewhere.
5. Voice, image, minors and AI
Audio clips, behind-the-scenes images and customer names stay off miekpixel.digital unless you sign off in writing first.
Material captured in our rooms is not fed into machine-learning pipelines, synthetic voice products or model benchmarking. Cloning a performer’s timbre requires a separate, signed permission from that person.
The web form targets adults aged 16+. Minors take part when a parent or legal guardian makes the booking and supplies contact details.
6. Recipients and processors
Inside Miekpixel, engineers and admin staff see files strictly on a project basis. Outside parties may receive limited data:
- TransIP B.V., Vondellaan 47, 2332 AA Leiden, the Netherlands — website, mailbox and backup storage, preferably within the EU/EEA;
- FormSubmit (United States) — relays contact form submissions to [email protected];
- external bookkeeper — invoice lines only, under duty of confidentiality;
- payment institution — settlement of transfers;
- public bodies — lawful disclosure requests.
Each supplier signs processor terms aligned with Article 28 GDPR. B2B recording roles are covered in our data processing agreement.
7. Transfers outside the EEA
Primary hosting is with a Dutch provider. FormSubmit processes form content in the United States. That transfer is needed if you use the form. You can avoid it by emailing [email protected] or calling 020 261 4783 directly.
Where transfers occur, we use appropriate safeguards such as EU Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable and offered by the service.
8. Security
We apply appropriate measures: HTTPS on the website, restricted system access, strong passwords, locked studio outside sessions, and deletion of working files after the retention periods above.
If a breach is likely to affect your rights, we notify the Dutch Data Protection Authority and you when required under the GDPR.
9. Your rights
Under the GDPR you may ask for a copy, correction, deletion, limited processing, export in a machine-readable format, or object where we rely on legitimate interest. Consent you gave earlier can be withdrawn prospectively.
Email [email protected] with your name, the service involved and what you want changed. We answer within thirty days and explain if we need up to sixty more for difficult files.
Unhappy with our reply? The Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens supervises compliance in the Netherlands — autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl. Most studio clients resolve privacy questions through contact without escalation.
10. Cookies
Audience measurement and ad pixels are absent. The banner writes mkpx_consent_v1 to local storage for 182 days. Full category list: cookie policy. Reopen the banner through .
11. External links
The site links to OpenStreetMap for directions. Those services have their own privacy rules; we are not responsible for their processing.
12. Changes
We may update this policy when services or law change. The version on this page applies from 14 October 2026; last updated 14 October 2026. Material changes are communicated to active clients by email where reasonable.
