Why Miekpixel exists

Miekpixel opened in 2018 so bands and solo artists could record, mix and master in one building without hand-offs. The engineer who writes your quote is the one at the desk during your session.

We schedule by appointment within Mon–Fri 10–19, Sat 11–17 so setup, breaks and wrap-up stay realistic. Rates and cancellation: services and terms.

The rooms

Live room (38 m²)

Space for up to 5 musicians, sight lines to control and separate headphone mixes.

Iso booths (2)

Vocal booth for singing, rap and spoken word; glass drum iso for controlled kit captures.

Control room (22 m²)

Symmetrical treatment, nearfields and room to review takes together.

Gear in brief

Multitrack sessions use 32 inputs. Mic and preamp choices follow the source — no brand laundry list on the site, but a steady approach: clean capture first, processing in the mix.

Mix-only jobs run offline with 2 revision rounds; see mixing and editing and bounce or stems for mix.

Wibautstraat 224, 1097 DN Amsterdam. Wibautstraat 224 is in Amsterdam Oost. Metro stations Wibautstraat (M52/M53) and Amstel are within walking distance. Trams 1 and 7 run along Wibautstraat; get off at Wibautstraat stop. Bike racks are in front of the entrance; on-street car parking is limited.
