Summary
- We aim for a usable website and clear information before you book.

- We use feedback on barriers to improve pages and workflows.
1. Purpose
Miekpixel B.V. (Miekpixel) publishes this statement on the accessibility of miekpixel.digital and our recording studio in Amsterdam. We want everyone to explore services, send an enquiry and — where physically feasible — take part in sessions.
This text is informational and does not replace a conversation about your needs. Please contact us before booking if you are unsure.
2. Standards we follow
For the website we target Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 level AA where reasonably achievable for a small team. We also follow relevant Dutch and EU accessibility rules, including developments under the European Accessibility Act for certain digital services.
We do not claim formal certification or an external audit unless we state that explicitly later.
3. Status of miekpixel.digital
What we do: semantic HTML, skip link to main content, keyboard-focusable controls, text alternatives for content images, sufficient colour contrast, no autoplay with sound, keyboard-operable cookie banner, Dutch/English language switch.
Known limits: some decorative motion may affect users sensitive to movement; we review whether reduced-motion preferences can be honoured more consistently. Third-party map embeds (OpenStreetMap) follow their provider’s accessibility.
Technical reports: [email protected]. See privacy policy for how we handle correspondence.
4. Physical access to the studio
We are at Wibautstraat 224, 1097 DN Amsterdam (Wibautstraat 224 is in Amsterdam Oost. Metro stations Wibautstraat (M52/M53) and Amstel are within walking distance. Trams 1 and 7 run along Wibautstraat; get off at Wibautstraat stop. Bike racks are in front of the entrance; on-street car parking is limited.). The entrance is from the street; we do not operate a separate public lift in our building according to our floor plan. Inside, level changes are limited, but cables, flight cases and instruments can narrow paths during sessions.
We have 3 recording spaces including a live room of about 38 m² and 2 iso booths. Heavy amps or drums are moved with team help; tell us in advance if you use mobility aids or need extra time so we can plan routes and setup.
Opening hours: Monday to Friday 10:00–19:00, Saturday 11:00–17:00, closed Sunday.. For band sessions with up to 5 musicians we discuss layout and accessible positions in the live room.
5. Alternatives and support
If attending in person is difficult, we can discuss where possible:
- mix or master from files you supply (mixing, mastering);
- voice-over in shorter sessions (voice-over);
- phone 020 261 4783 or email [email protected] instead of relying only on the form.
We do not maintain medical records; describe practical needs (extra time, seating, breaks, lighting).
6. Documents and pricing
Rates are on services and service pages, including 21% VAT. Examples: Vocal and spoken-word recording from €98 per hour, Mixing and editing from €190 per track. Invoices and project email use common digital formats; large audio deliveries via agreed cloud or drive.
Legal pages such as terms and cookie policy are authoritative in Dutch; English versions are for information.
7. Feedback and enforcement
If you hit a barrier on the site or in the studio, email [email protected] with the page URL or session date. We aim to respond within 2 business days with a fix or timeline.
If you are unhappy with our reply, you may contact the Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets or relevant anti-discrimination reporting channels as applicable. This is not a mandatory ADR body; contractual disputes follow terms and conditions.
8. Maintenance
We review this statement when layout, consent or studio setup changes materially. Version 14 October 2026, updated 14 October 2026. Processing of feedback data: privacy policy.
