Bounce or stems for your mix

Mixing starts with tidy files. Whether you tracked in our live room or built at home, deliver like this for Mixing and editing without tempo, silence or rights surprises.

Producer sorting audio folders and SSD for mix delivery

Bounce vs stems

A bounce is one stereo (or mono) print of your session — fine as reference, poor for detailed balance. Stems are grouped buses (drums, bass, vocals, keys) or fully split tracks. For Mixing and editing we almost always want stems or raw multitrack plus a rough mix so we hear your intent.

Only a producer bounce? Talk via contact before booking; sometimes we salvage vocals, sometimes we cannot.

Technical specs

Deliver 24-bit WAV at your session rate (44.1 kHz for music release, 48 kHz for video is common). No mp3 or lossy sources. Export dry when you can: no reverb or limiter on the stem unless the effect is part of the sound.

  • Align every file to the same start point (bar 1, beat 1).
  • Print reverb tails on a separate stem if you tracked with space.
  • State tuning (440 Hz default) and capo if any.
  • Include tempo map or BPM and time signature in a text file.

Unsure about sample rate? Email [email protected] with a DAW screenshot.

Naming and folders

Use clear names: 01_DrumBus.wav, 02_BassDI.wav, 03_VoxLead.wav. Skip spaces and accents in filenames; underscores work everywhere. One folder per song plus a README.txt for credits and references.

For EPs: folder per track in running order. Mark final takes if you send alternates — we will not pick among three lead vocals without direction.

Sessions tracked at Miekpixel

Tracked Band and ensemble recording or Vocal and spoken-word recording with us? Ask at wrap for export to your drive or our download link. We keep archives 14 months; after that, only what you saved counts.

We can often open our session files, still send WAV stems for mixes outside our network to avoid DAW version drift between the studio PC and your laptop.

Rates and revisions

Offline mix at Miekpixel: €190 per track, €695 for up to five tracks or €1,320 for up to twelve — prices include 21% VAT. Each job includes 2 revision rounds; feedback works best with timecodes and plain language (“vocals back”, “more air”).

Extra rounds or stem surgery outside scope are quoted first. B2B payment in 21 days after quote acceptance.

References and expectations

Send up to three references that show mix balance, not only production vibe. Streaming links are fine as labels; we do not blindly match loudness — see loudness guide. Say what your rough mix lacks (“vocals buried”, “kick too dull”).

We aim for a balanced mix for your genre and release channel, not a vague “radio ready” slogan.

Upload and privacy

Big sessions rarely fit email. Use the link we send after contact or an encrypted transfer you trust. Spot-check playback before closing the upload. Note total file size in your message so we can watch for truncated uploads.

No personal IDs in filenames; see privacy policy. Commercial release remains your distributor responsibility.

On to mastering

After sign-off, stereo prints go to Mastering and delivery from €82 per track. Attended mastering in the suite is €165 for two hours with the engineer.
